Kathryn Young, MD FACOG

Dr. Young completed her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan and received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at Henry Ford Heath System, where she was named Best Teaching Resident, and received the Gentle Hands Award. She was recently named as one of Schoolcraft College's Top 50 All-Time Graduates who have made a difference within their communities. Her areas of special clinical interest include pelvic support issues and corrective surgery.

Dr. Young is chief of OB and former chief of Surgery at Oaklawn Hospital.

Dr Young practices exclusively at Oaklawn Hospital. She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecologic Surgery, and a Fellow of The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. 

Dr. Young is an experienced minimally-invasive surgeon, and employs the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System in selected procedures.
